Blood-shot eyes & headaches? You must be suffering from Google Keyword Research;

Google keyword research is more crucial than ever before, as Google adwords is now the world's #1 ad network.   The Google content network reaches 80% of unique internet users in over 20 languages and 100 countries.

But, with such a reach, you and I face stiffer opposition on a daily basis. Google is making a killing.Over $4b in ppc income in 2007. I dont know how much of that money came from profitable ads, but my guess is more advertisers lost money than made money on the ads.

Lets look at the 6 main reasons that make PPC advertising so challenging:

Uncovering the right word comos
Writing good adverts
Proper PPC Ad Placement & Positioning
Good landing pages
Testing & Tweaking

uncovering the right keywords: it is all about those keywords. If you have different words than the people who are searching, you won't get any clicks. Or even worse, you will get hits and be charged for them, but the hits are from people looking for things other than your product.

It is a catch 22.

You want the clicks, but you dont want every click. One click from the correct individual is worth millions of clicks from others. You really need to be careful that the keywords you use are the ones suited to searchers looking for your solutions.

It should be said, however, that the process of finding these keywords would take you hours of labor. And worse, it's not guaranteed to work at all in the end. There are decent keyword research tools out there but there is a big learning curve with most of them. Affiliate marketing has changed with the new PPC Bully. Finding the Winning Combination: So you spend an insane amount of time that you cant really afford doing intense keyword research for your PPC ad campaign and now you are ready to try them out online. Wait! You wish -this is only stage one. Having the right keywords is one thing, having them in the right order is way harder. It's pretty similar to taking an exam and the right answer is 786.

Miss the answer by one and you are totally wrong. You won't get any points for being almost right. Its very similar in PPC. People are searching for more than specific words. They are searching for specific words in a specific order & specific combination.

You need to be savy in order to attract the right customers. So you really need to carry on researching and testing so that you find out the most successful cmbinations.

This task in it of itself is diffucult, so i wont scare you by telling you that its actually even more complicated. That you need to find out what products your competition are promoting in combination with the landing pages and keywords & keyword combination that are making them a profit in order to make serious money.
